Josh McManus of CreateHere engaged Elemi in the fall of 2007 to help with basic space planning and lighting design for the CreateHere headquarters on Main Street. Elemi first worked with Josh and Helen Johnson to establish the basics – what goes where.

CreateHere required a very open, flexible space that could accommodate large gatherings as well as normal daily office functions. Elemi set to creating public areas along Main Street, with semi-public gathering spaces in the center, flanked by workstations and a community gallery on either side. AEED, Inc. and Chattanooga Lighting Sales assisted in selecting lighting fixtures that would accommodate the existing low ceiling height.

Overall, the design has created a very fluid and open space, accommodating the function and personality of the CreateHere organization.
