4800 SF Adaptive Re-Use - Bakery and Retail Space

John and Angela Sweet engaged Eric Myers in 2006 to help renovate a warehouse space on Main Street in Chattanooga into their new bakery location. This building had seen several uses during the previous century, most recently an automotive repair shop.

The design team worked closely with John and Angela to create a layout that best fit bread production process as well as creating and attractive retail space with a view into the bakery. The team inventoried and measured all of the Niedlov’s equipment to locate each item in the new space.

The design solution included removing existing sloped / stained floors and pouring new concrete floors and loading dock.

John and Angela opened in spring 2007 and has become a popular neighborhood establishment.
