The PTA at Normal Park enlisted Elemi in the spring of 2007 to help design the renovation of the school’s library space. The project included entirely new furnishings, finishes, and lighting fixtures.

Elemi worked collaboratively with the library renovation committee to take input from staff, parents and students prior to design. The design incorporated the input by establishing three primary activity “zones”

– a reading area, classroom / media area, and bookshelves / stacks. AEED, Inc. volunteered design assistance and photometric calculations in helping select appropriate lighting fixtures.

The design accomplished a light and open space which has been well received by staff, parents, and students. This dramatic transformation was well needed and very positive for the school. The PTA has since asked Elemi to help transform the school’s Cafeteria space.
